Hitoyori LLC defines this Privacy Policy for the handling of user information, including personal information, in the PairPo web application provided by the Company.
This Policy applies to use of the test version of the Service, including beta versions.
1. User Information We Collect and How We Collect It
In the Service, the Company may collect and use the following user information.
(1) Information provided directly by users
- Account registration information such as nickname, email address, date of birth, gender, and password.
- Profile images, anniversary information with a partner, and related information.
(2) Information collected automatically through use of the Service
- Communication and activity data for point calculation. With user consent, the Service analyzes and quantifies in-service activity such as chat frequency and shared calendar registrations to calculate and grant Pair Points. Chat text itself is not persistently stored or viewed on the server.
- Device and log information such as browser type and version, IP address, usage history, and access date and time.
Location information: In the test version of the Service, we do not collect or obtain GPS or similar user location information.
2. Purposes of Use
Collected user information is used only for the following purposes.
1. Providing, testing, and improving the Service
- Pairing partners and calculating/granting Pair Points based on daily usage.
- Issuing and managing in-service rewards such as points.
- Finding bugs, improving behavior, and developing new features in the test version.
2. Marketing and service improvement
- Statistical analysis of usage and display of information optimized for user interests.
3. User support and fraud prevention
- Responding to inquiries.
- Monitoring and preventing Terms violations and unauthorized access.
3. Sharing Information Between Partners
Because the Service is designed for couples, the following information is automatically shared in the Service only with a partner whom the user has explicitly paired with.
- Registered nickname and profile image.
- Points earned between partners and challenge completion status.
- Schedules and anniversaries shared while paired.
When pairing is disconnected: if a user or partner disconnects the pairing, access for the other party is immediately blocked. Shared data accumulated between the two users is promptly deleted or anonymized in a non-restorable form.
4. Third-Party Provision and Outsourcing
As a general rule, the Company does not provide personal information to third parties without user consent, except in the following cases.
- 1. Outsourcing for external infrastructure and service integrations When necessary information is entrusted or linked to cloud servers (such as AWS/GCP) or other external systems for operation of the Service and reward granting.
- 2. Cases based on laws and regulations When disclosure is requested by public authorities such as police or courts based on laws and regulations.
5. Security Measures
The Company takes reasonable technical and organizational security measures, including industry-standard encryption technologies such as SSL/TLS, to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration of users’ personal information.
6. User Rights
Users may request account deletion and complete data erasure at any time through the settings screen in the Service or the contact point in Section 8. When a user requests account deletion, the Company will promptly erase related personal information from the server, except for statutory retention periods.
7. Changes to This Policy
The Company may revise this Policy as the Service changes or laws are amended. For important changes, the Company will post a notice in the Service or notify the registered email address.
